Lisa Lang is mentoring Polimoda’s new master’s programme that will start in April 2020.
How can we educate the next generation of fashion professionals to meet the industry’s new challenges? To answer this question, Polimoda invited our CEO and Founder, Lisa Lang, to mentor a brand new master’s programme in Digital Fashion in Florence.
Polimoda is listed in The Business of Fashion’s global fashion school rankings as one of the top ten fashion schools in the world. With over 2300 students enrolled, Polimoda prides itself on its professional training in highly specialized work and research methodologies.
According to Lisa Lang, “We’re living in an exciting new time where we have to rethink, reset and relearn. Rules have to be broken, and new ones have to be set. I’m thrilled to create a forward-thinking and groundbreaking series of classes that will help students understand new technologies, comprehend the new age of manufacturing, and allow them to rethink the system.”
Content Modules will include topics around bio and material science, 3D printing and new textile studies, basics of electronic enhanced materials, anti-counterfeiting and circular economy technology, and new business models.
The programme is nine months long and includes 700 hours of teaching that integrates lectures by industry professionals, workshops and guest lectures with international experts. It also includes visits to companies and trade fairs, applied projects in collaboration with companies, and internship opportunities that complete students’ studies with authentic experience.
