Key Points:
– Our CEO and founder, Lisa Lang, was a speaker at the Porto Tech Hub Conference 2019, at Alfândega do Porto, in Porto, Portugal, presenting the talk, “What are we going to wear on Mars?”
– The conference theme was Art, Culture and Technologies, and using this hook, Lisa brought to the discussion questions about the future of fashion in an era of warp-speed travelling.
Creativity and Design are everywhere: this was the premise of the Porto Tech Hub Conference 2019. During the whole day, musicians, creative technologists, designers, entrepreneurs, and the most different roles in art and technology were together to discuss future enterprises.
Lisa Lang presented the talk, “What are we going to wear on Mars?”, and amazed the audience with stories about the future of fashion, clothing and mobility. She started prompting everyone to think about how do we illustrate the future, always projecting warp-speed travelling and flights to Mars, but are we really going to be wearing the same clothes we are wearing today? You can see this and many other thoughts on the future of fashion in the video:
After her talk, Lisa called up on stage some special guests to moderate the panel, “How art and technology can meet?”: Billie Whitehouse, CEO of Wearable X; Dr Amanda Parkes, CIO of Future Tech Lab; Tânia Santos, founder and manager of CRU Cowork; and Tauan Bernardo, co-founder and director of Viva Lab Porto. They developed an interesting and insightful conversation about the skills that make a creative technologist.
