The challenges of being a freelancer are numerous. They constantly have to deal with aspects that go beyond their talents and skills, such as dealing with tax, law and intellectual property issues, and managing workflow, time, customers, clients and so on. But they are not alone.
A whole community of solopreneurs and creative freelancers are united to help each other. Meet the IndieWorkers, a platform to encouraging discussion and knowledge sharing on themes essential to freelancers and solopreneurs in the real world, in the creative industries.
IndieWorkers is holding its first Bootcamp in October, from the 18th to the 20th, to discuss the reinvention of freelancing. Condensed into three days of activities, talks, conferences and workshops, the programme is designed to inspire, nourish and connect Porto’s IndieWorkers community.
Lisa Lang, our CEO and founder, is a speaker at the IndieWorkers Bootcamp. She will be presenting a talk called “From Freelancer to Solopreneur: the Delicate Balance Between a Maker and a Businesswoman”.
You still can join the conversation! Tickets are available at indieworkers.org, and if you are outside Porto, keep on eye on social media or drop us a line at: email@example.com.
