Throwback: Three marquee FashionTech events where ElektroCouture was seen

We, at ThePowerHouse love telling stories and we love it even more when we collaborate with friends from different parts of the world to tell these fascinating stories about FashionTech. The year 2017 was a time when we got a chance to look back at the three wonderful years of ElektroCouture (from where we started) and we also welcomed ThePowerHouse, a B2B umbrella brand of the company for custom projects in wearables, smart fashion, internet of things, and more. As we sit in our three-month-old beautiful Studio in Bikini Berlin on the roof top, we recall the top three events that took us to different countries to tell our story through the language of lights and of-course FashionTech.

FashionTech Festival, Paris

This year in June, ElektroCouture was invited at The FashionTech Festival, Paris to showcase Nuit Blanche by designer Anja Dragan. It was a privilege for us to be one of the FashionTech companies invited to this vibrant festival. As a hybrid and original event in Paris, the festival was the meeting point between the general public, professionals, creators, startups, artists and designers from across the globe. The event was an attempt to put in light initiatives at the crossing roads of fashion and digital, labelled under the term FashionTech. The FashionTech movement, born of the encounter between cutting-edge technologies, the world of fashion and the retail world, intuitively refers to the avant-garde creations of artists always pushing the boundaries of materials and that what we saw at the festival. The sweetest memory of this event is when a Vogue Magazine Editor came and said that our dress was the most beautiful of all the collection she witnessed at the event.

Lakme Fashion Week, India

ElektroCouture is the first company to curate a FashionTech runway show in India as a part of the Lake Fashion Week  2016. Not only did we receive an awestruck response from Indian media and a fascinated audience, we loved the enthusiasm and encouragement from the country.  ElektroCouture collaborated with partners such as Moon Berlin, Sensoree and designer Lina Wassong among other friends to showcase FashionTech at the event. Lakmé Fashion Week is jointly organized by Lakmé, the number one cosmetics and beauty services brand in India and IMG Reliance Ltd., leader in sports, fashion and entertainment marketing and management. Lakmé Fashion Week has been conceived and created with a vision to “Redefine the future of fashion and integrate India into the global fashion world,” and is organized twice every year.

FashionTechBerlin is a leading fashion and tech conference during Berlin Fashion Week to hear the industries visionaries, as they meet to discuss the hottest trends and disruptive technologies. While Premium Group was the organizer of the conference , ElektroCouture curated the FashionTech exhibition at FashionTech Berlin for two years (2016 and 2017).  Have  a look at the video below to know what Lisa Lang, Founder, The PowerHouse and ElektroCouture had to say at one of the FashionTech Berlin over the last two years.
