RECAP: Aarhus Walks on Water

Have you ever wondered, how a fashion show on water would look like?
On 16th October 2017, the glowing vision came true at Aarhus Walk on Water. Presented by Aarhus University, VIA University College, Headstart Fashion and this.Festival by Filmby Aarhus and Interactive Denmark, fashiontech designers from all across the world came together to present their latest work.

The event welcomed to the AWOW Fashion Show and Talent Award 2017 celebrating the collaboration between the AWOW design finalists and theirregional companies showing innovative collections with wearable technology. Digital scenography will transform the Aarhus city harbour when fashion models make their entry upon a floating catwalk created for the occasion. On the catwalk for the first time in Denmark also 3D printed dresses by Modeclix.

Our own fashiontech designer in residence, Joanna Hir was invited to present her latest creation, Vision Quest with a talk about the insights of her work. Vision Quest is a multi-seasonal couture collection of four designs, offering modern occasional wear with elements of techwear for men. Each piece in the collection is enhanced by different light technologies, symbolising the enlightenment, which is the main theme of this collection. Check out her glowing designs in collection here.
